Speed through checkout online
With Google Pay, you can pay with a few quick clicks in apps and on the web. No need to enter your payment info.

Secure

When you use your phone to pay in stores, Google Pay doesn't send your actual credit or debit card number with your payment. Instead, a virtual account number is used to represent your account information – so your card details stay safe. Our fraud protection is the same whether paying with Google Pay or swiping your card.

If you have multiple cards added to Google Pay, you may set your SMB debit card as the default so it is the card presented when you make a purchase.

On an Android smartphone and tablet, select your SMB debit card and tap Set as Default Card.

On an Android watch, go to your Google Pay app on your watch, scroll to the SMB debit card you would like to use as default and tap it. From the bottom, swipe up on More and tap Set as Default Card.
If your Google Pay device has been lost or stolen, you have a few options to protect yourself:

  • SMB Debit Cards – Call us at (800) 943-8488 and we will delete the Google Pay token associated with your card. Your debit card information will remain safe and will not be deactivated when the Google Pay token is deleted.
  • SMB Credit Cards – Call the number on the back of your card to request your Google Pay token be deleted. Your credit card information will remain safe and will not be deactivated when the Google Pay token is deleted.
  • You may also use your Android Device Manager to instantly lock your device from anywhere, secure it with a new password, or wipe it clean of personal data.
Security is our top priority and for security reasons, we may need you to complete one more step of verification. If this step is necessary when adding your card, we may ask you to confirm your identity using a one-time passcode via email or text. If prompted, please select how you wish to receive the one-time passcode and then enter that code into the appropriate field. Once your information is verified, you will receive notification on your device letting you know your card is ready to use in Google Pay.
